Renowned Emirati entrepreneur Saeed Juma Al Naboodah, Chairman of the esteemed Saeed and Mohammed Al Naboodah Group, peacefully passed away on Wednesday.
Al Naboodah, a distinguished figure in the business landscape of the United Arab Emirates, served as the Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the transformative decades of the eighties and nineties, leaving an indelible mark on the nation’s economic development from 1982 to 1997.
Following his demise, heartfelt tributes poured in from prominent leaders, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed hailed Al Naboodah as a “pioneer of business in the Emirates,” underscoring his profound impact on the business community.
Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, Sheikh Mohammed extended his prayers, invoking divine solace and patience upon them. “We ask God to bestow his relatives and family patience and solace. To God we belong, and to Him, we shall return,” he wrote in a poignant social media post.
Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, also conveyed his heartfelt condolences, offering prayers for the departed soul and expressing sympathy for the grieving family. “Our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy go out to his family and loved ones, and may God envelop him in His boundless mercy,” Sheikh Hamdan stated.
